| The Heritage of
One Civilization |
| |
| |
 |
| As an integral
foundation and the origin of a vast and significant civilization,
far more important than yet another religion, Islam currently
stretches across the shores of Atlantic Ocean and also
spreads way out over the Long Coastal strip(s) in the
Pacific Ocean -encompassing various racial and ethnic
groups such as the Arabs, Iranians, Chinese, Turks, Africans,
etc. Islamic civilization not only has laid the foundations
of countless spiritual movements, but also has paved the
way for the establishment of numerous school of thought(s),
Philosophy as well as important scientific researches
and discoveries. Accordingly, throughout the history,
Islamic traditions and accomplishments have made indispensable
theological and ethical contribution to the civilized
world. In order to fully realize the undisputed impact
of Islam upon the stature of thinking, arts and sciences
within the mentioned territories and nations, it is certainly
warranted, at this juncture, to touch upon the distinct
features of Islam as the foundation of a great civilization
and a significant universal religion. |

| The Message of Islam: Solidarity
and brotherhood amongst all the faithful(s): Islam is
the religion of resignation and total submission to the
Will of the Allah Almighty. As the last and foremost universal
religion(s), Islam's principal tenet is based on the concept
of monotheism while its cardinal truth lies in the sacred
term there is no God but Allah. There upon, this phrase
is an unequivocal confirmation of and a clear testimony
to the singleness of Allah, who certainly has no partner
or alike. Although this monotheistic belief has not constituted
a new call or invitation for the mankind yet, from the
Muslims view point, it contains a unifying message through
which the Muslims perceive all the believers of other
monotheistic religions as the faithful(s) and thus regard
them as the brethren. The Holy Qura'an is the scriptures
and the cardinal truth of Islam, which cordially invites
all the believers to the basic principles of faith, mercy
and benevolence. |

 |
| The ever presence of Allah,
throughout the Holy Qura'an is so evident and powerful
that has rightfully transformed the Arabic, its significant
language, into a sacred tongue. The Holy Qura'an also
contains unique sections and verses, pertinent to Nature
and Metaphysics. An important section of the instructions
and teaching of The Holy Qura'an vividly advises the human
race on the harmony with and preservation of nature whereas
its other invaluable sections refer to an intermediary
world, therein, between God Almighty and Man. More importantly,
the world of physical existence is immaculately set in
order by a vast organization of angels or the attendants
of Allah, Lord of the worlds. As the most dignified manifestation
of morality, The Holy Qura'an constantly refers to the
principle of accountability, a fact holding Man responsible
for his conduct and manner and thus, enjoying the fruits
of his labor or suffering the consequences thereof both
within this life and the hereafter. |
|
 |
|
| The ever presence
of Allah in the daily life of faithful(s) is obviously
evident by the expression of the routine phrase, In the
Name of Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful , which
always precedes their deeds and day-to-day activities. |
