Bahar M.T
Bahar M.T. (1886 - 1951): Mohammad Taghi Bahar, who was given the name Malek-o-Sho'ara, is considered one of the greatest literary figures in the Iranian contemporary history. He was a distinguished poet a master of literature, a writer, a college professor, a notable journalist and a political activist. Over a half a century of his life was spent in literary work including research. He played a pivotal role in development and evolution of contemporary Persian prose and poetry. As a teenager, he startled the critics and experts by manifesting his creativity and imagination in composing poems. He composed his first poem at the age of 14. He commingled the traditional poetry with fresh concepts.
As a journalist, Bahar played an important role in the Constitution Revolution (Mashrouteh 1906-1941) by publishing his newspaper "No-Bahar" and writing political articles advocating the movement.
   
As an intellectual, he repeatedly was elected as a member of the National Consultative Assembly (Parliament). He founded the Daneshkadeh Literary Society (the publisher of Danshkadeh magazine) in 1917. The periodical was his actual means of dispersing the results of his literary research and introducing the European literature to Iranians. This is where Bahar's poems and prose appeared. This periodical played a key role in strengthening and developing the contemporary style in the Persian literature.
In 1917 he gradually put the politics aside and dedicated his time on literature. As a college professor, he then started to teach literature in Tehran University, while editing and writing books. He was appointed as the "Culture Minister" only for a few months. 5- His renowned books include "History of Political Parties", "Diversification of Persian Prose" and the collection of his poems.

Karim Amiri Firuzkoohi, a poet and a researcher, was born in 1909 in the suburbs of Tehran. He lost his father at the age of 7. He studied Literature, Logics, theology and Arabic at Marvi School in Tehran. He used to compose poems both in Persian and Arabic. Being physically sick and weak since childhood he always had been short of stamina. He suffered different illnesses. He was an active member of Iran Literary Society. He also regularly attended the sessions of Ghods, Hakim Nezami and Farhangestan literary societies. He constantly associated himself with literary scholars, intellectuals and authors. He learned how to play the tar (an Iranian musical instrument) and studied the music theoretically. His essays, which appeared in Tehran periodicals, included commentaries on some of the major philosophical and literature books. He also wrote many books on above subjects, which were never published. His diversity of style in composing poems demonstrates his eloquence and capability in the field. As a follower and lover of Sa'eb Tabrizi, he composed Hendi style poems. His collection of ghassideh (elegy), however, were in Khorassani style. He died in 1984 at the age of 75.
