government managed to reconstruct the major portion
of the ruins, many factories resumed operations, agriculture
flourished, the water supply and sewage networks plus
great dams were designed and constructed and finally
the rate of illiteracy which acted as a barrier in the
way of the country's development, reached its lowest.
Despite some economic problems, the Islamic Republic
of Iran has managed to adopt an independent political
and economic policy and relying on local specialized
forces extends international cooperation and enjoys
a high level of acceptability worldwide. |
